For the Week of March 19, 2007

Posted by alicemercer on 18th March 2007

This week should be more normal. We will go to the library on Thursday, so bring back your books, and there will be no assemblies. We are still working towards our class party at the end of next week, so lets do our work, and have some fun learning things!

I’m going to cancel homework club until Spring Break. Most of you are getting help at the new afterschool program, and haven’t needed to come to the online club. I will be doing some special sessions during break time.

Question of the week: What projects or research questions would you like to look into after break about our unit theme, Making a New Nation, the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, or Human and Civil Rights?

Last week’s question was not answered correctly. Remember, I need both the area and the perimeter.

Question:  What is the area of a triangle where the base is 10 cm, the sides are 6 and 7 cm, and the height is 8 cm? What is the perimeter of that triangle?
